  How the door closer works:

When the door is opened, the door body drives the connecting rod to move, and makes the transmission gear rotate, which drives the rack plunger to move to the right. During the right movement of the plunger, the spring is compressed, and the hydraulic oil in the right chamber is also compressed. The one-way valve ball on the left side of the plunger is opened under the action of oil pressure, and the hydraulic oil in the right cavity flows into the left cavity through the one-way valve. When the door opening process is completed, the elastic potential energy accumulated is released due to the compression of the spring during the opening process, and the plunger is pushed to the left to drive the transmission gear and the door closer connecting rod to rotate, so that the door is closed. During the spring release process, due to the compression of the hydraulic oil in the left chamber of the door closer, the one-way valve is closed, and the hydraulic oil can only flow out through the gap between the casing and the plunger, and pass through the hydraulic pressure on the plunger. The small hole and 2 flow passages equipped with throttling spools return to the right chamber. Therefore, the hydraulic oil constitutes a resistance to the release of the spring, that is, the buffering effect is achieved through throttling, and the speed of the door closing is controlled. The throttle valve on the valve body can be adjusted to control the variable closing speed of different stroke sections. Although the structure and size of door closers produced by different manufacturers are different, the principle is the same.

   Functions of hardware accessories for door closers:

1. Ground spring: also known as ground dragon. Installed on the lower part of the door and window. It is made of gray cast iron, carbon steel, spring steel, cast steel, etc., and then assembled.

2. Door top spring: an automatic door closing device that uses the elastic force of a clockwork spring or a coil spring to close the door leaf. There is a buffer cylinder inside, which can reduce the closing speed.

3. Door slingshot: punched from low carbon strip steel, and equipped with low carbon cold drawn steel top rod, the door is closed by elastic force.

4. Door Stopper: A simple locator for braking the door leaf and avoiding the collision between the door leaf and the wall. Installed on the outer lower corner of the door leaf, the door leaf can be positioned at any angle.

5. Door chuck: Fix the appliance for opening the door. It consists of a knife-edge base and a triangular steel leather chuck. There are horizontal and vertical. The base is cast in grey cast iron; the chuck is made of spring steel with a blued surface.

6. Magnetic door suction head: The function is the same as the door clip door and window hardware head. The door leaf is fixed by the suction force of the magnet, and there is no noise during use.

Modern hydraulic door closers (referred to as door closers) began with a patent registered by Americans in the early twentieth century. The liquid in the door closer is throttled to achieve a buffering effect. The core of the design idea of the hydraulic door closer is to realize the control of the door closing process, so that various functional indicators of the door closing process can be adjusted according to people's needs.
